Join us for a dynamic yoga workshop where we’ll explore the alignment of common poses, beginning with the fundamentals of Surya Namaskar A (Sun Salutation A). This workshop is designed to help you refine your alignment, enhance your awareness, and bring a fresh perspective to your practice.
We’ll explore various poses using props such as blocks, straps, and blankets to support, modify, and deepen your understanding and experience of each pose. By incorporating props in ways that you won’t have used them before, you’ll be able to feel the precise alignment of each pose in your body. These tools will help you build strength, improve your alignment, and gain a deeper understanding of how each movement in the sequence supports the next.
Whether you're a beginner looking to understand the fundamentals or an experienced yogi wanting to refine your practice, this workshop offers a hands-on approach to mastering alignment. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of common poses and how to get more from them.
Expect a blend of detailed alignment instruction, guided practice, and exploration, giving you the tools to integrate what you’ve learned into your regular practice with confidence and ease.

Emily is an experienced Sheffield-based yoga teacher and garden designer with a love of rock-climbing and barefoot life. Whether a dynamic vinyasa class or a deep and meditative stillness practice, we love Emily’s warm, engaging, and encouraging teaching style and how she makes everyone feel welcome in her classes.
"My teaching style is dynamic but grounded, encouraging students to be playful with their practice, whilst having a strong awareness of their breath. I believe that yoga can change the world, and my goal is to strengthen the body and quiet the mind, for happier, healthier humans. We spend too much time rushing around, with our brains chattering away. For me yoga is about slowing all of this down, being more present, finding joy in movement and living more fully."
